Healthy Adults in a Steady Relationship Research Study
Unfortunately, most of the currently available antidepressant medications produce sexual dysfunction in men and women and affect all phases of sexual activity. Such side effects affect the patient’s quality of life, can lead to therapeutic noncompliance, and often interfere with recovery from a depressive episode. Many patients taking antidepressants report sexual side effects as the most bothersome.
Recently PRI conducted a Research Study evaluating the effects of two antidepressant medications on sexual function. This study was specific to Healthy Adults in a Steady Relationship with Sexual Activity at least two times per week.
